KiwiSaver:
KiwiSaver members can potentially qualify for a one-time withdrawal to fund surgery costs related to specific health conditions, including obesity and its associated comorbidities. This is possible when certified by a medical professional. To initiate the process, please contact your KiwiSaver provider for a withdrawal request form. The form will require a statutory declaration and declarations from relevant medical practitioners (surgeon and/or GP) confirming your eligibility. It’s important to assess how this withdrawal might impact your retirement savings; consulting an independent financial advisor for guidance is advisable.
