Jason Robertson is a New Zealand trained Bariatric, Upper Gastrointestinal, Laparoscopic and General surgeon. He is a consultant surgeon at The Specialists Takapuna, also consulting at Waitemata Endoscopy Specialist Consulting and Hobsonville Family Doctors.

After completing advanced training in general surgery, Jason pursued subspecialist training as an accredited fellow of the esteemed Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand Gastric and Oesophageal Surgery Association (AANZGOSA) post-fellowship program. This program involved an additional three years of dedicated high-volume upper gastrointestinal and bariatric subspecialisation in Australia and New Zealand. During this time Jason worked closely with leaders in the field, gaining comprehensive expertise in the surgical management of obesity, upper gastrointestinal cancer, and reflux disease.

Jason is the only surgeon in New Zealand offering the complete range of internationally recognised bariatric operations (including the SADI-S). His personalised approach ensures that you select the best surgical option to achieve your weight loss goals.

In addition to his clinical practice, Jason is actively engaged in research, particularly focused on the management of weight regain after sleeve gastrectomy and complex antireflux surgery.
